Purpose
To approve the recommendations
of the Rural England Prosperity Fund Assessment Panel and award
funding to a number of projects in the district. (See Annex
1).
Content
The Deputy Chief
Executive in consultation with
the Cabinet Member for the Economy and
Council Transformation resolved to APPROVE the recommendations of
the Rural England Prosperity Fund Assessment Panel and award
funding to a number of projects in the district.
The detail of the awards and
the recipients of the awards is contained in Annex 1.
Reasons for the decision
To enable the Council to make
use of the Rural England Prosperity Funding allocated to it by
Government and to approve applications by organisations in the
district which will help the Council to deliver the outputs and
outcomes set out in the REPF Local Investment Plan
addendum.
Alternative options considered
The alternative option was to
not approve the panel’s recommendations. To do so would have risked failing to spend the
allocation available and not delivering the outputs and outcomes
expected of the Council.
