Purpose

The Greater Brighton Economic Board has agreed
that Sussex Chamber of Commerce should become a constituent member
of the Board, joining the Greater Brighton Economic Joint
Committee. Extending the membership of the Board triggers a
variance in the Board’s Heads of Terms that will require the
formal ratification of all Joint Committee members.

As a Member of the Greater Brighton Economic Board, Crawley Borough
Council is asked to ratify membership of Sussex Chamber of Commerce
as part of the Greater Brighton Economic Board.

Under delegated authority, The Leader of the Council is recommended
to approve the membership of Sussex Chamber of Commerce to the
Greater Brighton Economic Board, subject to a formal final decision
by the Board.
