Purpose

To award the contract for mechanical sweeping
on high speed roads. Authority to award this contract was delegated
to the Leader by the Cabinet at its meeting on 24 July 2024 (report
FIN/661 refers)

Content

That the Leader (in consultation with the
Cabinet Member for Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change,
Head of Community Services and Head of Governance, People &
Performance) approves the award of a five year contract for the
mechanical sweeping of high speed roads to Bidder A; and that the
Head of Community Services, in consultation with the Leader, be
delegated authority to extend the contract for a further two years
at its expiration.
