Purpose

To refresh the Council's Corporate Plan so it
reflects the Council's priorities for the period
2025-2028.

Content

RESOLVED

That Cabinet:

a)          
endorses the Corporate Plan 2025-2028 (Appendix
A of report
DCE/020), including the revision to New Priority 1:to read
“Develop and implement a new economic and place making
vision that maximises the opportunities to develop Crawley’s
vibrant economy, with new and more diverse jobs.”

b)          
delegates authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation with
the Leader, to make any minor amendments to the Corporate Plan
including any changes to legislation and statutory guidance as
required. (Generic Delegation 7 will be used to enact this
recommendation).

That Full Council be recommended to
approve and adopt the Corporate Plan 2025-2028 as detailed in
(Appendix
A of report
DCE/020) with the inclusion of updated New Priority 1.

Reasons for the
Recommendations

The Corporate Plan makes changes to the
existing Corporate Plan due to local government
reorganisation.  It sets out the
strategic direction for the council until the council’s
powers and responsibilities are vested to a new
council.  Where necessary it will be
updated to ensure that the council’s activities reflect the
national, regional and local challenges that it faces.

The council agreed to produce a new Corporate
Plan following the Corporate Peer Challenge in 2024.  This was agreed by
Cabinet in July 2025 (CEX
/71).
