Content

RESOLVED

That the Cabinet:

a)          
approves the Corporate Performance and Measures
(Appendix
A of report
DCE/022),

b)          
delegates authority to the Chief Executive, in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Resources, to make any
minor amendments to the Corporate Performance and Measures
including any changes to legislation and statutory guidance as
required.

Delegation 7 will be used to enact this recommendation).

Reasons for the
Recommendations

The Corporate Plan sets out the strategic
direction for the council until the council’s powers and
responsibilities are vested to a new council.  Where necessary it will be updated to ensure that
the council’s activities reflect the national, regional and
local challenges that it faces. 

The council did not publish measure and
milestones alongside this plan, as it wanted to develop these
following any feedback from Overview and Scrutiny Commission,
Cabinet and Full Council.   These
measures have now been developed, and where possible have been
aligned to the Government’s draft local government outcomes
framework.  These measures will provide
a framework against which progress can be assessed for the life of
the plan.
