Purpose

The Crawley Employment & Skills Programme
was originally published in 2016 and updated in 2019. Since then,
Crawley Borough Council has played a central role in leading,
enabling and overseeing significant progress in its delivery. In
addition, there have been notable changes in the employment and
skills landscape at local, regional, and national levels. This
report provides a summary of the progress made to date and seeks
approval for a revised and updated version of the Programme that
reflects these evolving priorities and challenges.

RESOLVED

That the Cabinet:

a)               
approves the draft Employment & Skills Programme
third edition shown in
Appendix A of report
PES/496.

b)               
delegates authority to the Head of Economy and
Planning in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning and
Economic Development to make minor amendments and update the
Employment & Skills Programme third edition to take into
account the delivery details of the individual projects listed
within it, as they come forward.
(Generic delegation 7 will be used to enact this
recommendation).
