Purpose

The Code of Corporate Governance has been
reviewed to ensure ongoing compliance with the seven principles
identified in the April 2016 joint publication by the Chartered
Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and the Society
of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE).

Content

To approve the updated Code of Corporate Governance which
can be found
here.

This decision was taken by the Democracy and Data
Manager (acting under the interim arrangements on behalf of the
Head of Governance, People & Performance).

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - Do nothing
Option 2 - Review code to ensure compliance with CIPFA and SOLACE
guidelines.
