The funding is part of the
Community Grants budget 2026/27 which includes strategic grants,
small grants and commissioning. Due to the number of
submissions received to the strategic grants for this year, the
Cabinet Member for Community Engagement and Culture, also agreed on
18/02/2026 to reallocate £30,000 from the small grants scheme
budget to the strategic grants programme budget for 2026/27. This
is in accordance with specific delegation 6.4.3 of the
“Executive” Function (The Leader and the
Cabinet) section of the Constitution and also in accordance with
para 5.22 of
HCS/029  as the award of funding on strategic grants is
delegated to the Cabinet Member. The Leader and the Head of
Community Services have been consulted and agree with the
re-allocation.

This decision is subject to the Grants Budget
being agreed at the Full Council meeting on 25 February 2026.
