Purpose

To award the contract for the Council’s
commercial asset insurance. Authority to award this contract was
delegated to the Leader by the Cabinet at its meeting on 4 February
2026 (report FIN/728 refers).

Content

Approve the decision to award the 24-month
commercial property insurance contract to Bidder 3 following the
appropriate procurement process.  This
decision was delegated to the Leader in consultation with
the relevant Cabinet Member, relevant Head of Service and Head
of Law and Governance by the Cabinet on 4 February 2026 (report
FIN/728 refers). 

The Leader also noted that (in line with the
delegation approved by Cabinet via report FIN/728) the negotiation,
approval and completion of all relevant documentation, including
legal paperwork following the awarding of the contract will be
undertaken by the Head of Corporate Finance and Head of Law and
Governance.
