Purpose

To enter into a Deed of Variation for the
Sport and Leisure Management Contract and approve the future option
for the sport and leisure management contract, along with
associated costs.

Content

On 28 April 2023 Councillor
Jones, as Leader of the Council, after consultation with the
Cabinet Member for Leisure and Wellbeing, exercised their delegated
authority to enter into a Deed of Variation for the Sport and
Leisure Management Contract and approve the continuation of
contract as a future option for the sport and leisure management
contract, along with associated costs.

This decision was protected
from Call-In by the Chief Executive to ensure the continued
delivery of the sport and leisure service and ensure income
generation for the Council.

The Chair of the Overview and
Scrutiny Commission was also consulted.
