Purpose
The High Weald Landscape Partnership has
produced the High Weald AONB Management Plan 2024 - 2029. The High
Weald AONB Management Plan 2024 - 2029 was agreed by the Joint
Advisory Committee. It was agreed by the High Weald AONB
Partnership on behalf of the local authorities with land in the
High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), of which
Crawley is one. The Partnership requests that the council formally
adopts it. Once adopted, this becomes the council's 'policy for the
management of the area and for the carrying out of their functions
in relation to it'. Land within Crawley's administrative boundaries
which fall within the High Weald AONB form a small proportion of
the borough, to the south of the A264, at Pease Pottage.
Content
To approve the adoption of the High Weald AONB Management Plan 2024-2029 as
the council’s ‘policy for the management of the area
and for the carrying out of their functions in relation to
it’.
