Purpose

To approve the recommissioning and procurement of a new Cumberland Technology Enabled Care and Assisted Living Service to replace the current service arrangement and to delegate authority to the Director of Adult Social Care & Housing to approve the award of the resulting contract.

The Council's current contractual arrangements provide an opportunity to move from a primarily reactive telecare model towards a modern, preventative, strengths-based and outcomes-focused Technology Enabled Care service that supports residents to live independently for longer, prevents or delays the need for formal care, and supports demand management across health and social care services
