The Finance and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee examines and reviews matters related to the Cabinet Portfolios for Corporate & Contracted Services and People & Transformation. It scrutinises financial services, revenues and benefits, legal and democratic services, licensing, commercial projects, procurement, asset review, shared services, and people and digital transformation.
The committee monitors the performance of council services, including those delivered by external organisations. It has an overview and scrutiny role, and can also undertake policy development. The committee is composed of 14 elected councillors, with the possibility of co-opting non-voting members.
