Purpose
To seek
approval for the reallocation of funds and that Cabinet notes and
approves the recommendations aligned with the 2025–26 and
2026–27 Digital Connectivity Delivery Plans.
Decision
RESOLVED to:
1)
Note the overview of the previous Digital Derbyshire scheme
and current issues;
2)
Approve the Digital Connectivity Delivery Plan for 2025-2027
as set out in Appendix 2 to the report;
3)
Approve to relocate £0.500m of earmarked reserves as a
contribution towards the top up element of Building Digital
UK’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme to enable delivery of
the two grant schemes in the Rural Digital Connectivity Grant
Programme;
4)
Approve to allocate the remaining £0.400m from the
Digital Derbyshire reserves to enable delivery of the two grant
schemes in the Rural Digital Connectivity Grant Programme;
and
5)
Delegate finalisation and sign off of the detailed grant
schemes to the Executive Director for Place, in consultation with
the Director of Finance and Cabinet Member for Net Zero and
Environment, prior to implementation.
