publication of the 'Market Position Statement – Community and
accommodation-based support for older people 2025-2027.

The Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care approved;

The publication of the Market Position Statement - Community
and accommodation-based support for older people
2025-27.

Reasons for the decision

To support our statutory responsibilities under the Care Act
2014, the Council is required to produce a Market Position
Statement, or an equivalent document, which provides evidence and
analysis of the adult social care market and sets out how it
intends to shape a market that can deliver a wide range of
high-quality care and support services that meets the needs of, and
is accessible to, people living in the County.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing: the Council could decide not to publish an
up-to-date Market Position Statement. However, to support the
statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014, the Council is
required to produce a Market Position Statement, or an equivalent
document, which provides evidence and analysis of the adult social
care market and sets out how it intends to shape a market that can
deliver a wide range of high-quality care and support services that
meets the needs of, and is accessible to, people living in the
county.
