Planning Committee

This Committee is a Committee of the Council constituted under Sections 101 and 102 of the Local Government Act, 1972.

1.     Exercise of the Full Council’s functions under Part 3 of this Constitution

including:

i.Functions relating to Town and Country Planning and Development

Control;

ii Miscellaneous functions relating to the creation, diversion,

extinguishment stopping up of footpaths and bridleways and the diversion or extinguishment of a rail crossing.

iii. Functions relating to complaints about high hedges.

1. Advise and recommend to the Executive on the preparation, content and

implementation of supporting planning policy.
