Purpose

Content

1. To accept capital funding of £181,500
and revenue funding of £3,700 from MHCLG as a contribution
towards the purchase of 2 properties; one property to be used as
temporary accommodation for homeless households and one larger 4
bed property which will be
rented as part of the SLHD social housing stock to people from
Afghanistan currently on resettlement schemes in Doncaster in the
first instance. The properties will be added to the Council’s
social housing stock and managed by St Leger Homes. The revenue
funding will be used for administration costs.
2. To enter into the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MHCLG
in respect of the capital funding.
3. Approve the use S106 Affordable Housing commuted sums totalling
£238,500 as the match funding contribution towards the 2
properties.
4. Add the purchase of the two properties to the Housing Capital
Programme with a total budget of £420,000.
