Purpose

IDOX EHC Hub has been identified as the
preferred solution by the service area because it is a standalone
system which provides a portal for parents and professionals who
can see the progress of the assessment from beginning to end.
It ensures transparency and parental involvement.
Other solutions have been explored however, other systems include
the additional purchase of the management information system to run
the system, e.g. Liquid Logic, Capita. This is a standalone hub for
parents and professionals to ensure the quality of EHCPs through a
standardised system.

IDOX is an innovative software platform which
is able to respond to Doncaster Council’s requirements for
the EHC (Education, Health and Care) Hub. The system allows
dedicated portal access to learners and parents Educational Health
Care Plans (EHCP) on a collaborative platform with parents,
teachers, and other professionals. Delivering collective
communication on assessments and reviews, promoting transparency
and best practice. Providing an end-to-end platform for two core
statutory pathways: the 20-week assessment and planning process and
subsequently review of Education Health Care Plans This improving
efficiency and promoting productivity. This platforms centres on
the child, young person and their families/guardians delivering
easy, secure access for other case stakeholders to contribute and
view information 24 hours a day via smartphone, tablet, laptop or
computer. It is intuitively designed so no formal training
required. The decision to continue and extend the contract has been
taken due to the critical nature of this
system therefore it is crucial to continue to fund IDOX to deliver
this service which is embedded within delivery. It is acknowledged
after the initial two years; this expenditure would create a
further CYPF budget pressure
