Purpose

This decision is based on the need to renovate
and relocate the pump track in country park to improve the
usability, safety and access for residents. This park is regularly
used by residents therefore the improvements will ensure residents
of all ages can continue use the park and feel safe.

Relocation and installation of pump track in Highfields Country
Park - £150,000.

Content

To contribute the available £8,446 on
improvements to the pump track in Highfields Country Park, as part
of the wider Future Parks project. This project is being joint
funded by Future Parks and Active Travel.

Alternative options considered

Alternative options considered were renovating
he current BMX track however following a ROSPA report it was
decided due to a number of safety concerns and costings it would be
more financially viable to relocate the pump track, this also means
that the development is not
delayed due to bird nesting season.
