Content

To approve the distribution of a £1.5m
grant fund provided by City of Doncaster Council for business
enterprise support, to be distributed over a 3yr period with an
annual budget of £500k.

? To approve a clear framework that will offer a range of
grant

options available to Doncaster based start-up, micro and small and
medium enterprises (SMEs).Grant options available will be:
o Start-up Grant - £2,000 up to 100% for new start and
early-stage businesses
o Digitisation Grant - 100% funding up to £5,000
o Specialist Business Consultancy Grant- 80% funding up to a
maximum grant of £5,000
o Innovation Grant - grants up to £25,000, with a required
50% match funding contribution
o Export Funding Grant - 100% funding up to £5,000 to support
micro and SMEs
o Capex Grant- A grant up to £25,000 available to grow a
micro or SME that falls outside the Productivity and Digital and
Low Carbon UKSPF transition projects criteria. This grant element
would require a 50% contribution from the business.

? To approve in-house delivery in Year 1 that will enable the
Council to start providing grant assistance promptly whilst
pursuing a digital delivery option that reduces impact on capacity
but allows time to ensure that a robust system and processes are in
place for Year 2 and Year 3 delivery.
