Content
To carry out an open competition via Yortender
to appoint a single provider to provide Scaffolding Services to St
Leger Homes. The services will include the design, erection,
inspection and maintenance of scaffolding and to subsequently
strike, dismantle and remove scaffolding following completion of
works.
The works will include Planned Maintenance works which will be
covered by capital spend and Responsive and other maintenance work
which will be covered by revenue spend.
As the scaffolding will be provided as part of construction or
maintenance projects, the common procurement vocabulary category is
works. The estimated contract value is £4,000,000 and so the
procurement will be a below threshold procurement.
The award criteria will be 60% price, 30% quality and 10% Social
Value.
The contract will be awarded for an initial period of 2 years with
2 x 12 month extensions.
The JCT Measured term Contract will be used.
Alternative options considered
The option of carrying out a mini competition
through a framework was considered. This was rejected as it
restricts the suppliers that can participate. An open competition
opens the competition to the wider market.
