Content
To carry out an open competition via Yortender
to award a contract to a single provider to supply stock and
non-stock timber and sheet materials for Stores, PBM and other
service areas as required.
The award criteria will be 70% price, 20% quality and 10% Social
Value.
The estimated contract value is £450,000 over 4 years which
takes into account the stock requirements estimated at
£100,000 and non-stock requirements estimated at
£350,000.
The contract will be awarded for an initial period of 2 years with
2 x 12 month extensions.
Alternative options considered
The option of carrying out a mini competition
through a framework was considered. This was rejected as it
restricts the suppliers that can participate. An open competition
opens the competition to the wider market.
