To accept the £52,596 grant from the
Association of Independent Museums (AIM) for the ‘Happiness
through Heritage in the Dearne’ project.

Alternative options considered

The alternative option was for Doncaster to do
nothing and not submit a proposal to access the Connected
Communities Grant. Therefore, not progressing this important area
of work with the additional funding resource. This would have
risked reputational damage with DCMS,
Association of Independent Museums and other funders.
