To award the contract for the supply of
domestic electric vehicle charge point hardware to

Alternative options considered

Do nothing: Doing nothing will prevent the
Home Charge Scheme from going ahead.

This will restrict the transition of CDC’s fleet vehicles
from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) petrol and diesel vehicles to
EVs. All fleet vehicles would need to be charged at hub locations
based in CDC assets and would not be able to be taken home by
employees.
This would create inefficiencies by increasing journey time of
employees travelling to and from work as they would need to go to a
hub location to collect their vehicle after it had been charged
there overnight.
