1. To enter into a funding agreement with XXX

3. Use of grant to recruit two part time (0.65FTE) Neighbourhood
Sustainability Officers on temporary two-year contracts to deliver
this support; and

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - Do not accept the funding

a) Whilst the delivery of this work presents tight timescales and
will be very challenging, the funding gives opportunity to help
those households most in need and supplements existing
work/retrofit programmes undertaken in the community. The Council
consistently seeks to maximise all opportunities to reach
individuals and source external funding to support the residents in
Doncaster.

Option 2 - Accept the funding but do not recruit the new
posts

b) The absence of these posts would result in the council not being
able to deliver against the funding, as our officers are currently
working at capacity. The existing Neighbourhood Sustainability
Officers are currently working Doncaster wide, which presents
logistical challenges that mean many vulnerable individuals
are
unsupported.
