To accept a grant of £63,870 from the
Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) for the delivery of a fourth
Youth Employment Hub programme for Doncaster, supporting 16-24 yrs
Universal Credit (UC) Claimants.

The grant will be used to cover the cost of posts who will work on
delivering the project for 12 months, commencing June/July 2025.
The total cost of two part time Grade 9 roles (1 x 25 hours per
week and 1 x 20 hours per week) for this period will be
£63,100 and £770 for telephone costs.

Alternative options considered

The Hub will be embedded and fit seamlessly
into the wider borough employment, enterprise and skills response.
It will be a key part of the triage team Careers Education
Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) function, ensuring young
people can access up to date information easily, quickly and in one
place.

The grant will enable staff resource across the partnership to
focus on delivering the approved activity. It will also work to
obtain best value from existing support and national and local
offers, as well as specialist support, therefore helping young
people to navigate the support landscape through information and
referrals aligned to their career action plans.

All spend is subject to terms and conditions of the grant and a
signed funding agreement.
