Content

To become a named party to the ICB’s
(Integrated Care Board) existing and new service contacts for the
arrangements set out from the 1st April 2025 listed within Box 3 of
the ODR to support continued joint work between the Council and
South Yorkshire NHS Integrated Care Board around commissioning
joined up care and support for Doncaster people.

Alternative options considered

For existing Section 76 agreements to be
renewed and to continue. This is rejected because of the
inefficiency created by transferring funding to the ICB only for
them to transfer it directly onwards to the NHS bodies delivering
the actual services. The Council contracting with providers
directly will increase oversight of quality and value.
