Full council record
Purpose
The council has utilised the Peoplesafe lone
worker system for the past four years, with adoption across a wide
range of services and over 1,000 active users. This system provides
a robust solution for mitigating risks associated with lone
working, ensuring employee safety during diverse work activities
and reducing potential litigation exposure for the authority.
The Peoplesafe MYSOS solution is available through the G-Cloud 14
Framework which costs £9 a month per unit. Any funding will
be identified by individual Budget Holders through their own
service budgets. Service managers will also ascertain individual
service needs via activity risk assessments. Current spend for a 4
year contract is £164,303 and is expected to continue at this
level.
Our intentions are to procure a 4 year contract through the G-Cloud
14 Framework which has been approved via TGB. A contract can be
procured through G-Cloud 14 for up to 3 years plus a 12 month
extension.
Content
To re-procure the councils current loneworker
solution contract with Peoplesafe. This is to ensure continuation
of service for this business-critical solution.
After researching loneworker products available, a decision was
made to remain with Peoplesafe, due to the devices already in use
and the additional cost involved to replace these. Peoplesafe are
available through the G-Cloud 14 Framework, offering a compliant
route to
market.
Alternative options considered
Alternative providers were considered during
the procurement process, however Peoplesafe remained the preferred
supplier.
