Content

To carry out a procurement process and award a
contract for the recycling / recovery of Street Sweepings and Gully
Waste.

The Agreement will run for a period of 36 months.

Alternative options considered

The Council may continue to send this waste
for disposal or recovery under a direct award arrangement, however,
this procurement route is intended for urgent or emergency
requirements and is not deemed sustainable beyond the timescales
required to conduct a new compliant procurement - we need to have a
valid contract in place to comply with financial procedure
rules.
