Full council record
Purpose
Warmsworth park is an open space area as
designated in Doncaster’s unitary development plan.
The park itself is located in the South West of Doncaster, West of
the A1(M).
This is the site of a former quarry, which has been developed into
a public park. There is a comprehensive management plan for the
park, Produced in 2020 and runs to 2025.
The park benefits from a ‘Friends of’ group, Namely the
Warmsworth environmental group which is a sub group of Warmsworth
Parish Council.
The proposed improvements to the park are all aligned with the park
management plan and to the aspirations of the Warmsworth
Environmental group.
The park is very well used but it has not received and major
financial investment for in excess of 12 years. Despite the best
efforts of Streetscene and the Warmsworth volunteer environmental
group there are areas of the park that are in desperate need of
remedial works.
