Full council record
Purpose

The YOS has been successfully using Core+ for
almost 4 years and staff are very familiar with the functions and
capabilities of the system. The decision is in the best interests
of YOS staff and the young people the YOS works with.

Content

Doncaster Youth Offending Service (YOS) has a
strategic ambition to reduce First Time Entrants from entering the
Criminal Justice System, prevent re-offending and reduce the number
of young people entering custody. The Youth Justice Board (YJB) has
recently introduced a further 10 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
which the YOS will be measured against.
The YOS commissioned Servelec, now The Access Group, in 2019 to
provide the Core+ case management system which went live in January
2020 for a period of 2 years with the option of a 1-year extension
which was subsequently agreed.
The cost to recommission Core+ through The Access Group is
£30,180.13 per calendar year for a further 3 years with the
option for a further 1-year extension, included in this cost is 90
user licences and 2 days training per year provided by The Access
Group. In year 3 the cost will increase to £30,180.23 and the
potential 1 year extension would cost £31,264.28. The cost to
commission Core+ is managed within the YOS’s budget.

To re-commission the contract Access Group’s Core+ case
management system for a further 3 years from 01/01/2024 –
31/12/2026 with the option to extend it for a further year.
