Content
To accept the £99,900 grant from
National Lottery for Heritage for the King’s Own Yorkshire
Light Infantry Collections and Research Centre.
The project will support the creation of a welcoming and inclusive
research and collections access centre for the King’s Own
Yorkshire Light Infantry regimental collection at our city centre
site in Doncaster.
The Centre will create more opportunity for individuals to engage
with the rich history of the regiment in-person and remotely. The
project will support Heritage and Culture Services to connect the
regiment’s history with two groups we do not currently work
with: young carers and veterans.
The project includes:
- Employing a Project Officer who will handle the day-to-day
supervision of project volunteers.
The Project Officer will work on grade 7 (subject to job
evaluation) for 28 hours per week, for 18 months. The Project
Officer’s exact salary is to be determined, dependent on a
grade evaluation by HR; the salary, on-costs and project
expenditure will be met by the grant.
- Fit out of a Collections and Research Centre
