May 3, 2023 Deputy Director of Public Health (Officer) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
Funding was put on hold due to breaches in
safeguarding requests. TYFF were asked to produce DBS’s for
all volunteers, deadlines agreed but failure to produce.
Support and signposting put in place to aid request. Specific
regular support offered from the Well Doncaster team.
All correspondence collated to evidence requests.
Further anonymous concerns were raised via Doncaster safeguarding
front door regarding unsupervised children and health and safety
building issues.
TYFF is a Community Interest Group with an agreement in place to
use Shakers building for delivery. Due to breach in their
agreement, Shakers terminated the agreement with immediate effect
on Tuesday 25th April 2023.
Assurance from Shakers director that the action will not affect
youth/café delivery, the impact of losing TYFF has seen a
positive response from the community and an increase in volunteer
support.
