Purpose

YPO are the current provider for Ambient and
Chilled Foods, YPO will cease to provide this service from end of
March 2023, the contract for the supply of frozen food products has
expired, therefore, a price
benchmarking exercise has been completed for the Supply of Ambient,
Chilled and Frozen Food products, under the YPO 1114 Food Deal
Framework, with the view to appointing a single supplier,
which will create efficiencies for cost, transport and deliveries
across the borough.
Authorisation is required to award to A F Blakemore Foodservice
under Lot 7 - YPO 1114 Food Deal 2 Framework, who ranked 1st from
the benchmarking exercise, this award will ensure compliance during
a full strategic review of food and dairy products used across
Doncaster Region which is in the process of being undertaken.
It is essential that service continues efficiently during the
review and ensures continued service and to secure support to
schools and vulnerable people in the community.
