Purpose

There is £16,282 remaining from planning
reference 03/5470/P Tickhill Road ring-fenced to Pemberton Grove
for further improvements to the public open space.
Pemberton Grove (Fishpond woods) is a hotspot area for illegal
motorcycles and quads. These improvements would help design out
some of the issues the area is experiencing. There are 3 types of
crime being experienced
- Motorbikes used for leisure
- Motorbikes used in daylight hours for reconnaissance –
linked to crime
- Quads involved in organised crime (cross border with Rotherham,
Harworth
nominals using Bawtry as a shortcut into Doncaster. Also cross
border crime with Notts and Lincs) This is mainly happening through
the hours of darkness.
There are 2 parts to this scheme. (1) Gate and pedestrian access
and (2) CCT
