Decision

To acknowledge the acceptance of additional capital funding ‘Warm Home Social Housing Funding’ from DESNZ, previously approved by the Mayor on 16 April 2025 under the Warm Homes SHF report (Ref. 160425), and to increase the budget provision for the scheme within the SLHD Capital Programme accordingly. The variation increases the grant available to Doncaster Council by £1,242,000, therefore the overall grant available to Doncaster Council is £3,113,000 and revises the agreed programme outputs and match funding requirements.

Alternative options considered

Option 1: Do not accept the additional funding.
This option was rejected as it would reduce the number of Council homes benefiting from energy efficiency improvements and would result in the loss of £1.242m of external grant funding available to Doncaster Council. Acceptance of the funding provides an opportunity to improve additional homes and maximise investment in the borough.
