Purpose

Following a period of negotiation between
Adult Social Care, NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (SY
ICB) and Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humberside NHS Foundation
Trust
(RDASH), agreement was reached to apply a contract variation to the
Integrated Mental Health Section 76 Agreement in order to:
1. Reduce the value of the Integrated MH Section 76 agreement from
the 2023/24 budget of £756,248 to £688,596 with effect
from 1st November 2023.

2. Re -direct the released funds to Adult Social Care to enable the
establishment and funding of a Council’s Older People’s
Mental Health Social Care team. Following this decision, NHS SY ICB
and City of Doncaster Council have agreed to monitor the impact on
the service of that decision by extending the existing agreement
for a further 12 months to March 2025, as provided for within the
Section 76 agreement. The impact of the changes to the service will
continue to be monitored and reviewed throughout 2024/25 and will
inform the development of the S76 Agreement and service
specification from
2025/26 onwards.

Content

To extend the S76 agreement for a period of 12
months, from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025, as provided for
within the current agreement.

Alternative options considered

The Transformation Programme is progressing
across Doncaster, and the impact on ways of working yet to be fully
realised. The Specification therefore focusses on delivering
outcomes for
people who use the services and the KPIs that will evidence the
outcomes being delivered. No further options were
considered.
