Full council record
Purpose

To ensure sustainability, Kids Mediation have
demonstrated to the Council justification for a price increase,
citing several reasons which relate to unavoidable cost pressures
of inflation, National Living Wage increase, National Insurance
increase and pension costs
and the overall rising cost of doing business, including associated
charges with labour cost increases. The uplift request relates to
the cost of current and future children’s Mediations.
Nevertheless, the fundamental reason of the increase is the
increase that
Trustees have awarded to Kids Mediation staff of 4% salary
increment. As staffing makes up the majority of the costs Kids
Mediation have added 4% to the 2023/24 rates

Content

To consider the annual uplift request payment
of 4% for the re-commission of the Kids Mediation service, the
extension would be for one year.
The initial contract was for 2 years from 9th August 2021 and
allows for three 12-month extensions
