Purpose
To seek approval to use £5,000 of which
this consists of monies from planning reference 02/1454/P.
This section 106 monies will be used for improvements to the open
space which will include solar power lighting on steps leading to
the cenotaph and a further bench to be placed. The area on the site
is the war memorial and the William Hackett VC memorial wall.
The proposed improvements to the park are all aligned with the park
management plan and to the aspirations of the Mexborough ward
councillors.
Castle Hill park is an open space area as designated in
Doncaster’s unitary development plan. The park itself is
located in the Mexborough, West of Doncaster, and is adjacent to
Doncaster Road.
