Doncaster Council is looking to increase the
reablement capacity within Domiciliary Care to ensure that people
leaving hospital who require reablement support are able to access
services in a timely manner.

The additional Domiciliary Care capacity will work alongside the
STEPS (Short Term Enablement Programme) service currently provided
in house by Doncaster Council.

The council has completed an Invitation To Quote (ITQ) to with
current commissioned providers who expressed an interest in
providing the Domiciliary Care Reablement Service.

The provider HSG is the recommended provider following a robust
evaluation of the ITQs. The intention is for the provider’s
current contract to be varied to increase the service
provision.
