The Joint Archives Board is an executive body comprising members and officers from Dorset Council and Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole Council. It acts as the primary governing and oversight authority for the Joint Archives Service (JAS), providing a forum for both councils to express their views on the service's direction and activities. The Board oversees the JAS's business, approves its plans and budget, and monitors its performance. It also allocates resources, manages risks, and advocates for the JAS within each council.
