About

The Staffing Committee is responsible for key appointments and dismissals within Dorset Council. It handles the selection and makes recommendations for the Head of Paid Service, Chief Finance Officer, and Monitoring Officer, as well as other statutory Chief and Deputy Officers. The committee also hears appeals from these senior officers and deals with disputes raised by recognised Trade Unions. Its membership is drawn from the full council and is politically proportionate.
