Purpose

The council has a duty to repair and maintain
properties under its housing stock to a decent habitable
standard.
 
Cabinet previously approved the award of a
contract to Axis Europe PLC for the provision of responsive repairs
and empty building services. The contract is for an initial period
of 2 years, ending on 7 March 2026. The contract includes an option
to extend for a further period or periods of up to 2 years.
 
This report recommends an extension of the
current contract with Axis Europe PLC for a period of 1 year from 7
March 2026 to 6 March 2027 at a value of up to £3,500,000.
These services are crucial to the council’s operations. Axis
Europe PLC has performed well over the last 2 years.
