Purpose

To obtain approval
to go out to consultation on the draft Ealing Jobs & Skills
Strategy and Action Plan 2024 – 2029 that:
 

a)    
will help deliver the Council Plan’s target of 10,000 good
new jobs and 12,000 new learning and skills opportunities
by 2026

b)    
define and promote Ealing’s growth sectors

c)    
outline a range of actions to enable residents to become
suitably skilled and access career pathways to ultimately secure
jobs in those sectors
 
The draft Ealing
Jobs & Skills Strategy and Action Plan has been co-produced via
the Ealing Jobs & Skills Forum.
 
Following
consultation, a final strategy will be drafted and proposed to
replace the Council’s ‘Plan for Good Jobs –
Towards an Inclusive Economy’ and taken to Cabinet for
consideration and approval.
