Purpose
This report is to ensure
continued access to Microsoft products when the current agreement
with Microsoft expires on 30 September 2024.
In September 2023, the Cabinet
Member for Inclusive Economy authorised the Director ICT, IDM &
Property Services (CIO) to invite and evaluate tenders via further
competition on the Kent Buying Consortium (KCS) Software Products
and Associated Services framework agreement (Y20011) for a new
Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and Dynamics Server Cloud enrolment
for a period of 3 years from 1 October 2024 to 31 September 2027,
and to appoint a Microsoft Licence Solution Provider
(LSP).
Since that decision, a new
iteration of the KCS Software Products and Associated Services
framework agreement (now Y23065) is available which the council
used to conduct a full procurement exercise. The purpose of this
report is to award of a contract to a Microsoft reseller for
Microsoft licences and update relevant stakeholders on the new
framework agreement used to run the competition.
