Decision

RESOLVED that:

1. consent be granted, in accordance with the Direction made under Section 24 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007, for Surrey County Council to proceed with the award of the capital build contract for the new Reigate Priory Junior School, including the award of the Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) to the successful bidder and the subsequent Stage Two Design and Build Contract; and
2. it be noted that the contract award will be undertaken by Surrey County Council in accordance with its governance processes, including:

          a)       the delegation of authority to Surrey County Council’s Executive Director of Resources (Section 151 Officer), in consultation with the Director of Land & Property and the Cabinet Member for Property, Waste and Infrastructure, to approve PCSA contract price variations of up to ±10%; and

b)       the delegation of authority to Surrey County Council’s Director and Assistant Directors of Land & Property to enter into all licences and agreements necessary to facilitate the delivery of the capital works.
