The Equalities Board oversees Enfield Council's processes to eliminate discrimination based on protected characteristics defined in the Equality Act 2010, including age, disability, race, sex, and sexual orientation.

This advisory body monitors the Council's performance against equality legislation, consults on new policies, and raises awareness of service users' specific needs. It acts as a sounding board for proposals, considering their direct and indirect impacts on protected groups, and promotes understanding and mutual respect regarding equalities.
