The Cabinet decided to approve and adopt the Enfield Safer Stronger Communities Board Serious Violence Strategy 2026-35 on 9 September 2026. The strategy aims to prevent and tackle serious violence and its causes in Enfield, creating a safer borough for all. It incorporates a public health approach with primary, secondary, and tertiary pillars, and is underpinned by four core principles: recognising and challenging inequalities, adopting a risk outside of the home safeguarding approach, responding to the most impactful issues, and using tools and powers effectively.
