The Leader of the Council approved the movement of £200,000 from the pipeline into the main capital programme for tree removal and replacement in 2026/2027 on 11 September 2026. This budget will fund tree removal, management and delivery, and tree planting and aftercare for highways borough wide. The decision supports the Council's Climate Action Plan and aims to reduce maintenance costs and potential claims.

The Cabinet approved the sale of agricultural land south of The Ridgeway and north of Hadley Road and the surrender of the remaining land back to the Council on 9 September 2026. This facilitates the Enfield Chase Landscape Recovery Scheme, which has secured £38m in DEFRA funding. The decision also generates a capital receipt supporting the Council's financial strategy.

The Cabinet noted the borrowing and investments position and estimates as at 30th June 2026 and Quarter 1 estimates for financial year 2026/27 on 9 September 2026. They also approved the principle that any further capital financing underspends will be used to repay debt. This includes a reduction of the capital financing budget by £3m to be vired to Adult Social Care.
