RECOMMENDED that
Council:-
 
(1) 
authorise the Director of Culture, Leisure, and
Tourism in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Leisure
Services and Physical Activity to develop a next stage bid and to
apply to Sport England for funding;
(2) 
recognise this next stage of work will focus on
increasing physical activity, decreasing inactivity, reducing
inequalities, and providing positive experiences for children and
young people; and
(3) 
support the proposed next stage bid to Sport England
based on the learning from the project to date and the principles
outlined at 8.12 of the report.
